10,500 visitors went through the IV edition of the International Ecotourism Fair NATURCYL, which has been held in Ruesga (Cervera de Pisuerga, Palencia) on September 24, 25 and 26.
La Montaña Palentina, one more year, has hosted one of the most important ecotourism events in Spain. During the past weekend Ruesga (Cervera de Pisuerga, Palencia) has been a focus for the promotion of hundreds of ecotourism initiatives throughout the national territory and other parts of the world such as Portugal, Costa Rica or Guinea Bissau. After more than a year of restrictions for tourism around the world, NATURCYL has celebrated its fourth edition with a lot of activity and with the aim of contributing to relaunch the ecotourism sector. An essential sector for sustainable rural development, now more than ever.
NATURCYL has been an ideal setting for the commercial and business exchange of companies and professionals linked to Ecotourism. The “Nature Tourism” Castilla y León tourism services marketing event that was held on Friday 24 with national and European tour operators was a great opportunity for commercial exchange between buyers and receptive companies.

89 exhibitors from 13 autonomous communities and four countries have come together to exhibit and promote their ecotourism products and destinations. Exhibitors that continue to trust in this fair and that this year have increased a 59%.
The program of activities has included talks on forests fundamentally, as it was the theme of this year. The latest proposals for the most surprising tourist destinations were also presented. Various NGOs and foundations show you their environmental conservation programs that they currently carry out. The food producers offered tastings of cheeses, honeys, wines, smoked foods, oils, foods produced in a respectful way with the environment and of high quality.

Likewise, the extensive program of activities with routes on foot and by electric bike, astronomy workshops for children and adults, master classes on nature photography, practical workshops on recognition of footprints and sounds, forest baths, round tables, concerts, exhibitions ..., they have made a weekend full of activity for all visitors. In total, the following activities have been held:

All these activities have been attended by more than 3,100 people.
NATURCYL 2021 has counted as Godfather to the prestigious scientist Miguel Delibes de Castro, who delighted us with his words at the conference, "Miguel Delibes and the Wounded Earth", Saturday morning.
As a Leading Destination in this edition, the province of Zamora, a place with infinite natural and ecotourism resources. And they have given different workshops and talks about their natural and tourist resources.
The collaborating entities, the exhibitors and the visiting public have given support to the organization and a trustworthy recognition for the success achieved in this edition.
Castile and Leon, regional host of NATURCYL, has once again exhibited its wealth of ecotourism resources, which makes it one of the most important autonomous communities for inland tourism in all of Europe.
Palencia, in a magnificent stand showed its enormous diversity and wealth of art, history, nature and rural world that makes it one of the most attractive provinces in Spain.
And the Palencia Mountain, in whose heart the event is held, showed the entire visiting public its enormous wealth of natural and cultural resources.
The rest of the tourism, photography, new technologies, gastronomy, artisans and foundations exhibitors have managed to make the fair considered one of the most important in its sector in Spain.

The music that has been enjoyed in the four concerts by: September Trio, Carlos Soto Folk Trio, Los Marceros de Cervera and El Portal de Carmen.
NATURCYL also exhibited two exhibitions of interest: "Miguel Delibes, in defense of nature and the rural world" and the Exhibition of the IV Nature Photography and Ecotourism Contest "Jane Goodall - NATURCYL 2021".
