NATURCYL SUPPORTS THE GASTRONOMIC PRODUCTS OF THE LAND

Gastronomy and local producers have always been a priority for NATURCYL, authentic engines of rural development and essential support for Ecotourism. Farmers and ranchers are the fundamental basis on which rural development is based, and it is also an activity compatible with the conservation of natural resources when carried out with sustainability criteria.

In NATURCYL 2021 Different producers of oil, cheese, jam, sweets, fish, wines... will be present, offering practical workshops, tastings and tastings to all visitors.

The friday 24 september tasting «Lentils from Tierra de Campos», courtesy of the IGP Lenteja de Tierra de Campos. Lentil from Tierra de Campos is a legume whose excellence has been recognized by the Administration after having demonstrated a real link between its quality and its geographical origin. It is grown in a selected area of the Tierra de Campos region that extends through the provinces of León, Palencia, Valladolid and Zamora. Its protein richness and its high fiber content make it a necessary dish in a balanced diet and that we can taste at NATURCYL.
At sunset, an experience that combines the tasting of Earth Honey (Valladolid) with the observation of stars will delight the attendees.

The saturday 25 September there will be a tasting of Extra Virgin Olive Oil offered by DourOliva, pure juice of olives harvested in the natural park of “Los Arribes del Duero”.
At noon “The Meat of Cervera Guarantee Mark” will delight all attendees with a traditional and sustainable beef stew. The tasting will be enlivened with a performance by the group "Los Marzeros de Cervera". The Cervera de Pisuerga y de la Montaña Palentina Meat Guarantee Mark was born in July 1996, when a group of ranchers decided to form an association to fight for the project of creating a guarantee mark. Its main objective is to group and promote excellent cattle farming produced in the region to which its name refers, and, in turn, produce an increase and improvement in the income of the ranchers of the Palencia Mountain.
Theresa Cotorruelo of the jam shop Oh Elderberry will give an interesting practical workshop on how to make jams taking advantage of the wonderful autumn fruits. In this very special experience you will learn different uses in the kitchen with these seasonal fruits, how to get the most out of them, their nutritional benefits and endless recipes that you can taste.

The sunday 26 September is the turn of the presentation, tasting and recipe workshop of the "PGI Ternera de Aliste" (Protected Geographical Indication Ternera de Aliste). Santiago Borrego Ojeda, managing director of the PGI Ready Veal We will discover the secrets of this beef cattle produced based on traditional feeding and management.

In addition, every day, you can taste Somontano Wines, at the Huesca stand, as well as the rich smoked at the Piscifactoría Campoo stand.

To complete the gastronomic offer of NATURCYL, a whole series of gastronomic stands will offer their best products.
