In our Community you can find high Pyrenean peaks to the north, spectacular mountain ranges sculpted by rivers that descend from the Iberian mountain range of Teruel and Zaragoza, glaciers, river gorges, endless forests that in autumn give us unique pictures, lagoons, wetlands... and, as a contrast, the arid and amazing steppes of the Ebro valley. These contrasts in relief and geographical location allow Aragon to be a national benchmark in the observation of migratory birds, as well as steppes, counting their number by 300. All this makes Aragon a the ideal destination for carrying out ecotourism, as well as for the practice of active tourism. The diversity of landscapes and the orography of our land, makes us a privileged destination and one of the most important nationally, for the practice of hiking, canyoning, rafting, winter sports... Counting for its practice with a wide network of specialized companies. In addition, Aragón is dotted with charming towns that coexist in perfect symbiosis with the natural environment. Villas that preserve their medieval past, the result of the different cultures that settled in our region for centuries and that will allow the visitor to experience a trip to the past. These small villages located in deep valleys or in the high mountains are under clear skies, some of them with starlight certifications, ideal for practicing astrotourism. Aragón is the perfect destination to travel without haste, in a sustainable way and in contact with the natural environment.
